Investment Casting

As an option to machining parts from solid material, MIC offers in-house investment casting capabilities. Cost savings can be gained by manufacturing parts to net-shape or near net-shape.

Combining investment casting and precision machining, MIC provides turnkey parts. This eliminates the normal "hassles" of coordinating production between investment casting and machined parts suppliers.

MIC offers customers joint Engineering and Manufacturing assistance in determining feasibility and cost considerations for investment castings. All casting molds are designed and built in-house, eliminating the need to coordinate molds with a third party. Production lots can range from less than ten parts, to several hundred. Pouring capabilities range from less than a pound to 501bs.

MIC also has the ability to cast and build rapid prototype parts, without the initial investment in a mold. This allows customers to verify part design, and make necessary changes, before committing to a mold. Rapid Prototyping "on-site" equipment available for quick turnaround-short lead time prototype castings.
